
16 people have been found dead after the military transport plane they were aboard crashed in Leflore County, Mississippi.
Leflore County EMA Director Frank Randle said most of the victims are Marines.
According to The U.S. Marine Corps Twitter account, “A USMC KC-130 mishap occurred the evening of July 10.” Officials said, the crash happened around 6:15 Monday evening in a soybean field near Highway 82 by the county line.
Emergency crews were driven away on multiple occasions. Authorities said, the refueling aircraft could possibly contain ammunition making this deadly situation even more dangerous.
Debris from the destruction liters at least a five mile radius.

Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant said in a Facebook post, “Please join Deborah and me in praying for those hurting after this tragedy. Our men and women in uniform risk themselves every day to secure our freedom.”
It is unclear where the flight originated from at this time.
