Townville Elementary

Two elementary school children and one teacher sustained injuries this morning in a shooting at Townville Elementary School. Townville is a small rural community some 40 miles southwest of Greenville South Carolina.

The two children were airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital and the teacher was taken by ambulance.

The shooting allegedly began around 1pm, and deputies were on the scene shortly thereafter. One teenage suspect is in custody and deputies believe that suspect acted alone. Authorities have indicated that the coroners office is on the way to another location about three miles from the school where a death has been reported that is related to the same shooting suspect.
