Hearst Media Production Group has extended its run with CBS for the weekend educational series The Visioneers with Zay Harding, ordering two additional seasons that will keep the show on air through 2028. The announcement secures more episodes of the 30-minute environmental adventure series that Hearst first unveiled in March 2025.
Renewal details and upcoming season
The renewal covers seasons through 2028 and comes ahead of the launch of season three, which is set to premiere on Saturday. Produced by Hearst’s production arm in partnership with the VoLo Foundation, each episode blends field reporting with profiles of innovators working on sustainability challenges.

Hosted by international explorer Zay Harding, the series frames environmental stories as practical, hands-on projects. The format spotlights scientists, engineers and community members developing real-world solutions rather than abstract debate.
Season 3 highlights
Season three will feature a range of notable guests, including actor Edward Norton, former NFL player and ocean-conservation advocate Kelvin Beachum, NASCAR driver Austin Green and Luci Baines Johnson. Episodes travel widely, from the Great Barrier Reef to American ports, racetracks and wildflower fields.

Episodes air on weekend mornings as part of the CBS WKND educational/informational block; local times vary by market.
Statements from producers and partners
HMPG President Bryan Curb said the series “has struck a real chord with viewers,” adding that the program demonstrates how environmental stewardship can take many forms. “Alongside our partners at VoLo Foundation, we’re proud to bring audiences two more seasons of The Visioneers,” he said.
Thais Lopez V., president of the VoLo Foundation, described the show as proof that solutions to major challenges often rest with people willing to imagine and build a better future. Her comment emphasized the series’ focus on practical action and local initiatives.
Hearst’s production footprint
Hearst Media Production Group supplies content across broadcast networks, station groups, connected-TV and streaming services. The division’s current slate includes more than 30 original series and hundreds of hours of new content each year.
Its catalog spans roughly 85 series and some 6,000 episodes, with distribution reaching about 100 countries — a scale that helps the company place shows like The Visioneers into national weekend programming blocks.
