When the Kansas City Chiefs met the Seattle Seahawks — described in some reports as the 2025 Super Bowl champions — one notable absence drew attention: pop star Taylor Swift did not attend the game. Her no-show reinforces a pattern fans have noticed for several seasons.
Why she tends to skip away games
Swift is known to appear regularly at Travis Kelce’s home matches at Arrowhead Stadium, but she rarely shows up at other venues. That selectivity has been tracked by media outlets and fans alike.

In 2024, Page Six reported the reason often cited for her limited attendance: security concerns at unfamiliar stadiums. A source told the outlet, “She’s not going anywhere unless she knows the venue intimately and it has been thoroughly scouted and secured in advance.” That account suggests the decision is driven more by logistics and safety planning than by schedules or preference alone.
Privacy issues even at Arrowhead
Even at Arrowhead, privacy can be a challenge. Podcaster Ashlie Molstad recounted an incident from the Chiefs’ October 18 game in which people occupied seats in front of what she described as Swift’s suite. She posted about the encounter on Instagram and said the situation interfered with other fans’ view of the field.
Molstad described confronting the group and quoted one person as saying, “Oh, damn it. You guys were supposed to be late.” She added that people around the suite were “in our face the whole time” and that many spectators “didn’t even look at the field. They’re just standing watching the suite.”
She also noted how visible the star’s security detail was during the game. “They are not watching the game. They’re watching people,” Molstad said, calling it “kind of wild” how many guards were focused on monitoring the crowd instead of the action on the field.
Taken together, the reported security protocols and the crowd behavior described by attendees help explain why Swift often avoids away stadiums and limits public appearances to well-scouted, familiar venues.
