Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim claimed proof Tuesday that accusations he had sodomized a male aide were false, citing a purported medical report published by Internet news portals.

The authenticity of the report, said to have been issued by a doctor at the Pusrawi Hospital and ruling out sodomy, could not be verified Tuesday. Hospital officials and police contacted by The Associated Press declined to comment.

Former NSW Aboriginal Affairs Minister Milton Orkopoulos

Former New South Wales Aboriginal affairs minister Milton Orkopoulos has been found guilty of 28 child sex and drugs charges.

Orkopoulos was visibly distressed, wiping sweat from his brow and shaking his head in disbelief, as the jury handed down its verdict in the Newcastle District Court.

It took the jury of five men and six women just over a day to convict Orkopoulos on 28 charges, including having sex with three boys and supplying them with marijuana and heroin between 1995 and 2006.
