Japanese research team has created a green, organic thin-film solar cell, a breakthrough that could broaden the range of applications involving solar energy, including use in design-dependent products.The team, formed by trading house Mitsubishi Corp., Tokki Corp., a leading manufacturer of organic electro-luminescent devices, and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, hopes to produce the ultra-thin solar cell for commercial use by the end of this fiscal year, officials said.

As the name suggests, honey laundering involves disguising drums of the sticky stuff from China by selling it to a third party—usually a distributor in another part of the world—then re-packaging it and re-exporting it, so that its source remains unknown.
According to an investigation by the Seattle Post Intelligencer, several tons of Chinese honey have this year passed through ports in Tacoma, Washington, and Long Beach, California, after being fraudulently repackaged as the product of Russia.
